Although bloody horror and wacko action flicks may rule most weekends in the lounge and theater space at Logue’s Black Raven, this Eastside hangout has also made a name for itself with less violent (but just as weird) events like art shows, poetry readings and theme parties. Those worlds collide in this all-day celebration of two of the “too weird to live, too rare to die” outlaw saints of hard-boiled tough-as-two-dollar-steak prose: Charles Bukowski and Hunter S. Thompson. The event promises a day filled with art, poetry, prose and film, all inspired by the work of the debauched duo. Admission includes food and beer. Indulge yourself – or as the late guru of gonzo journalism would say, buy the ticket, take the ride. $20.
