Can't Get Enough Organ?

The Mark of Zorro at the Schermerhorn

The Mark of Zorro at the Schermerhorn
With athletic aplomb and stunt work that still astonishes, Douglas Fairbanks' masked swashbuckler fights the forces of evil in Fred Niblo's silent 1920 action classic, given improvised accompaniment by organist Tom Trenney on the Schermerhorn's massive Martin Foundation Schoenstein Organ. Seeing a silent film with live music is a unique event every time, as the accompanist must serve as scorer, Foley artist and phantom participant all at once--one reason this is becoming an annual highlight of the Schermerhorn's season. Tickets are $10-25.
