Brian Posehn

When: Wed., Dec. 12, 7:30 p.m. 2012
Price: $20
It’s been nearly eight years since The Comedians of Comedy — a touring pack of comics that included Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis, Brian Posehn and Maria Bamford — stormed America’s indie rock clubs with jokes and light audience antagonism. Since then, Oswalt famously played a cartoon rat for Pixar, and Galifianakis inspired dopes with the phrase “one-man wolfpack.” Meanwhile, Brian Posehn has positioned himself as king of all nerds. Not only is he co-writing Deadpool, a comic about a hilariously insane mercenary on a killing spree, for Marvel Comics, but he just announced a comedy/metal collaboration record with Anthrax. Presumably, Posehn won’t be belting out “Satan Is Kind of a Dick” during his one-night stand at Zanies, but you can expect an evening of comedy about what happens when nerds get older and have families. Also? Dick jokes. So many dick jokes.
