Boulevard Bolt Walk/Run for the Homeless

Walk It Off

Walk It Off
Since walking a lot and being poor are two things most rich people don’t have to do, it’s commendable that they would devote Thanksgiving morning to raising money for folks who exclusively spend their time dealing with both inconveniences. For the 16th year, the Boulevard Bolt—the effort of three Belle Meade congregations—will host thousands of do-gooders as they walk or run a 5-mile stretch of Belle Meade Boulevard to raise funds to benefit Nashville’s homeless. Not only is walking for a cause an undeniable way to raise awareness, it also raises big bucks: Over the years, Boulevard Bolt has raised $1.2 million dollars and brought some 8,000 folks last year alone to contribute.
