Board members are elected by district in general elections and serve four-year terms. The members’ terms are staggered to ensure continuity on the board. Elections for even-numbered school districts are scheduled for Aug. 1, 2002; odd-numbered school district elections will be held in 2004. The board meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at Metro Schools’ Administration Building, located at 2601 Bransford Ave. Meetings are open to the public and start at 5 p.m. If you’d like to present something during the meeting, write to the board at least three days before the meeting stating your name or the name of your group, and the nature of the presentation.
