In chamber music, rapport between players is the name of the game, which is why the interplay among Nashvilles Blair String Quartet is always such a delight. These folks know each other very wellthe new guy, cellist Felix Wang, joined the nationally acclaimed group almost a decade ago now, and the other members have been playing together since the mid-80s. The Quartet will perform Robert Sirotas 2002 Triptych, composed in tandem with a set of paintings by Deborah Patterson to commemorate victims of 9/11. The program also includes Haydns lively Frog Quartet in D, Op. 50 No. 6 and Dvořák's American Quartet in F, written while the composer vacationed in an Iowa Czech settlement in the summer of 1893.
