Best Unconventional Theater

Studio Tenn’s Twelve Angry Men

Writers Choice

Achieving success on a traditional stage has been no problem for Franklin-based Studio Tenn Theatre Company, but performing Reginald Rose’s popular courtroom drama at the Williamson County Courthouse was a daring experiment in environmental theater. It paid off hugely, as a first-rate cast of Middle Tennessee character actors excelled with Rose’s study in human behavior, the venue itself emerging as an important — and quite realistic — supporting player.
