We’ve all told friends elsewhere that Nashville has great musicians of all genres, not just country, and we’ve all heard the inevitable comeback: “Yeah, but do you have a song parodist crooning about central banking, quantitative easing and Eurodebt?” And indeed we do: the sublime Merle Hazard, aka Nashville money manager Jon Shayne, whose macroeconomic stylings including such gems as “Fiscal Cliff” (and “In the Hamptons”) have been featured in the business press on both sides of the Atlantic
