Cummins Station's track record with restaurants rivals the Hindenburg's with air-traffic safety, but Kisung Kim's popular Korean-Japanese lunch spot not only keeps tenants from fleeing the premises, it actually draws clientele from the neighboring Frist and nearby offices. The reason: a $10 AYCE buffet special with a dozen sushi rolls, miso soup, a steam table loaded with egg rolls, fried rice and tempura vegetables, and made-to-order hibachi cooking. And if sweet Mrs. Kim spies you taking a chance on her spicier items, she'll likely pop out of the kitchen bearing samples of kimchee and other off-menu delicacies. Devotees swear by her bibimbap, topped with silky bites of raw tuna—but the buffet is so enticing that some gluttons don't even know the place has a menu. —JIM RIDLEY
