Best Kid-Friendly Restaurant for Grown-Ups

Sushi? Kids? In the same entry? I know it sounds like somebody's been snorting the wasabi, but hear me out. Parents, if you've worn a groove in the pavement circling from Baja Burrito to Pie in the Sky Pizza to Famous Dave's to Cracker Barrel and back, this lovable sushi joint right off I-440 at West End cures two problems at once: getting your kids to try something different, and getting yourself a meal that doesn't come sacked with a Jabba the Hutt bobblehead. My little ones love the miso soup, rice bowls and chicken skewers, and the discreet staff will take your order for the famed Shreveport Orgasm Roll in such a way that your kids won't parrot the term tomorrow in Sunday school. And bless fatherly Mr. Kim at the front counter, who quieted my 4-year-old's outdoor crying jag with a broad smile and a well-timed lollipop. —JIM RIDLEY
