Best Incentive for Local Writers

The Parthenon Prize

Bring your manuscript! The third annual Parthenon Prize is offering a $15,000 winner-take-all award for fiction writing. In the face of all the doom-saying about the decline of fiction and of print literature in general, the prize was created two years ago by local businessman and book-lover John Spence. It carries one of the largest literary jackpots in the country and is quite a feather in Nashville's cap. Further info can be found through info@parthenonprize.com. It's good money, so get to work! —WAYNE CHRISTESON
