Best Free Resource

Nashville Public Library

Writers Choice

Like churches, public libraries must be all things to their constituencies these days. No slacker in that department, Nashville’s library has evolved into a combination video store, archive, art gallery, analog file-sharer, lunch spot, screening room, music stage, lecture hall, event space — even a puppet-show venue. The card that gets you access to all these wonders restores faith in the old adage: The best things in life are free.
