If the kids are restless and you're short on cash, the Warner Park Nature Center (7311 Highway 100) is a no-charge rainy-day escape. Budding science geeks and Harry Potter fans will both enjoy the small natural history museum, with its critter skulls, snakeskins, stuffed animals (the taxidermal kind) and "Discovery Tree." Take a picnic lunch to eat on the comfortable covered porch, then get the troops into their rain gear to go splash around the frog pond or wander down to the creek. The center is open 8:30-4:30 Tuesday-Saturday. Call 352-6299 for more info. —MARIA BROWNING
