Spring Breakers

Writers Choice

Nashville’s bad-boy auteur Harmony Korine went (relatively) mainstream with a hallucinatory tale of a spring break trip gone awry, netting more than $14 million at the box office — and more significantly, landing laudatory reviews in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone and The New Yorker, to name just a few. James Franco’s turn as rapper/gangster Alien was hands-down his funniest role ever, and Rachel Korine delivered her biggest and most impressive performance yet.
