Benefit for the Fontaine Family

Being that Friend

Being that Friend
Featuring bluegrass luminary Alison Krauss and a host of other talents from The SteelDrivers to Cherryholmes, Tuesday night’s show and accompanying silent auction are being staged in order to help local luthier Chris Fontaine, who works at Williams Fine Violins on Music Row and is battling a rare form of cancer. Because of a pre-existing condition, the father of three could not get insurance and has struggled with medical expenses. To paraphrase an old slogan: It will be a great day when people can get the health care they need, and the Air Force has to hold a benefit concert to buy bombers. Until then, this is one heck of a benefit concert. More info at fontainefund.com.
