Bell Garden Tour de Coop

When: Sat., Nov. 3, 11 a.m. 2012
More than 140 Nashville residents now legally raise backyard hens, which provide fresh eggs as a first step in a shortened and sustainable food chain. Bellevue Edible Learning Lab (BELL Garden) will host a workshop by master gardener Alice Dobyns on the basics of incorporating personal poultry in residential landscapes. Julie Simpson from the BELL Garden will be on hand to discuss starting community coops and including chickens in youth education. Attendees will receive a map with directions for a self-guided tour of backyard coops in West Nashville. $20. For details, contact Julie Simpson at or 512-6727.
