If you like hangin’ with crowds from the counties, giant guitars dropping from the sky and dodging both pickpockets and upchucking amateur drinkers to the sounds of pop country and Journey covers, then — once again — downtown’s Bash on Broadway is THE place to ring in the New Year. Like last year, the epicenter for all action is Hard Rock Cafe, which will host its second annual New Year’s Eve Guitar Drop. (Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like — they drop a guitar 100 feet in effigy of John Rich’s career.) The Broadway Bash will also feature performances from “country superstars” Phil Vassar, Will Hoge and Damien Horne. After that hullabaloo wraps up, head up to Hard Rock’s Reverb room to take in a set from MuzikMafia captains 7DayBinge and more. Brace yourself for the most Scott Stapp-ified “Auld Lang Syne” ever. Take that, Times Square!
