Barry Manilow

When: Sat., July 28, 7:30 p.m. 2012
Price: $10-$130
Currently best known for occasionally showing up on American Idol to befuddle people born in the 1990s, Clio Award winner Barry Manilow penned such classics lines as “I am stuck on Band-Aid, ’cause Band-Aid’s stuck on me” and “Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.” You may also be familiar with his soft-rock hits “Mandy” and “Copacabana” — songs that are often used in pop culture to indicate that a character is not too hip! But you know, Barry Manilow probably doesn’t care that people make fun of him, because he’s been getting paid to play arenas for, like, decades. The five-dollar-footlong guy WISHES he had Barry Manilow’s problems.
