There’s a fine line between reinforcing the cliquishness that pervades this and any music scene — similarly coiffed bands clustering together around a narrow interpretation of three years of rock history, for instance — and the sort of indiscriminate cross-pollination that results in nonsensical bills cluttered with acts that don’t complement each other at all. As recurring Nashville clubs go, AyeVee does about as well as any at toeing that line. The latest installment brings B.Et.A and the Neon Panthers (think a dubsteppy Ke$ha meeting a pottymouthed Kerli), smooth-talking rapper Young Quael and a diverse crowd to soak up the party vibes, no matter what kind of packaging they might come in.
