We certainly all remember the collective sigh of relief that sounded after word got out the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum was mostly spared by The Flood. One area that did take some significant damage, though, was the Ford Theatre, the 213-seat performance space at the Hall that’s hosted everyone from Kris Kristofferson to Cowboy Jack Clement. To celebrate the theater’s official re-opening, deservedly renowned picker, songwriter and all-around badass Buddy Miller will hold court for a special three-week residency, bringing his deep understanding of country and roots music, his world-worn, sterling voice, and his string-tingling guitar mastery to the mix. Word on the street is that we should expect the former Emmylou Harris sideman to invite some notable guests to join him, and, given the wide admiration Miller enjoys, we should expect those invitations to be accepted. Packages including dinner and a Hatch Show Print are also available.
