ARTini at the Frist Center

Salon Style
During the early part of the last century, Gertrude Stein hosted her famous salon gatherings in Paris, inviting artists, writers, soldiers and musicians to imbibe good drink and good conversation, surrounded by her formidable collection of paintings and sketches by some of the best artists the age would produce. The more times change, the more they stay the same. Nashvillians seeking similar socio-cultural stimulation this week can slake their thirst at at the Frist Center. This ARTini event features Stefanie Gerber Darr, the Frist’s Educator for Public Programs, discussing a few works in the current Dean Byington: Terra Incognita exhibition. If that doesn’t loosen your tongue, chase your edification with a libation from the Martini bar. Event included with regular admission. Cash bar.
