It’s easy to mistake the California-bred international performer for just another stoner stereotype along the lines of fellow MarijuanaLogues co-creators Doug Benson and Tony Camin. Then again, those who didn’t know better might also be tempted to write him off as competent third (or even fourth) banana to his titular Flight of the Conchords castmates. In terms of straight stand-up, however, the Conan, Leno, Letterman and Comedy Central vet’s observational absurdism is comparable to none. Though he regularly sells out tours in Australia in the UK, stateside he’s a lesser-known quantity. But he’s enlightened and completely enthralling. See him now, say you saw him back when later.
