The Nashville Scene herewith presents its guide to the city’s newcomers; its go-to source for the city’s natives; its one-stop, quick-and-easy digest for anyone and everyone with a question about where to get a booster shot or find a magnet school.
Herewith, the Scene’s “Annual Manual.”
This year, one of our artist staffers had the bright idea of making the Annual Manual much like a manual itself—as in a high school yearbook.
The more important elements of this year’s Annual Manual—its data, its facts and figures—speak for themselves. The publication is divided into sections:
♦ “Getting Settled,” which tells you how to get your utilities hooked up and how to get a driver license.
♦ “Government,” a guide to your local, state and national public officials.
♦ “Education,” a listing of area schools, school board members, colleges, universities and other learning resources.
♦ “Health,” which contains extensive information about support groups, clinics and more.
♦ “Media,” a directory of area radio stations, TV stations and print publications.
♦ “Arts & Entertainment,” which includes local music venues, arts groups and a comprehensive guide to the city’s restaurants.
♦ “Recreation,” which offers information about area parks and sporting activities.
♦ “Advertisers Index,” a massive listing of names and addresses of Scene advertisers.
