All the Livelong Day: Our Life and Labor

On the first Friday of each month, Christ Church Cathedral mounts distinctive programming that blends music, dance, visual art and drama within the spiritual context of a worship service. The September “Sacred Soul Space” performance is a salute to Labor Day and workers of all stripes, featuring songs from the Broadway musical Working, which is based on the book by Studs Terkel, with music from various noted pop and theater composers. Veteran director Ted Swindley oversees the staging, which includes actors who have appeared in productions at Street Theatre Company. The talented and very capable Rolin Mains is the musical director. Admission is free, childcare is provided and a reception follows.
