The Grave Digger performing this weekend at Bridgestone isn’t the one who reminded Hamlet of poor Yorick and the way of all flesh; it’s a 1,500-horsepower widowmaker emblazoned with a screaming skull and dancing flames atop Terra tires tall as Mitzi Gaynor. If any truck could send Grave Digger down to Satan’s scrapyard, it’s the Advance Auto Parts Grinder, which ended the Digger’s nine-win streak last year in Atlanta — but don’t count out that bovine behemoth El Toro Loco, ready to lock horns with Bridgestone’s baddest. If you dig crunching metal, the sweet smell of exhaust and a deafening sound like a buzzsaw’s whine cranked through Bonnaroo-sized speaker stacks, you’ll want to stake out primo viewing spots for this weekend’s monster-truck summit. Watch also for appearances 2-6 p.m. Thursday by Grinder at Advance Auto Parts, 2936 Nolensville Road, and by War Wizard same day and time at the Advance outpost at 5737 Temple Road. Tickets start at $25-$50, with regular seating half off for ages 2-12.
