About the 2003 Winner
The winner of the “You Are So Nashville If...” contest is 39-year-old Cindy Parrish of East Nashville, who entered the contest for the first time this year. “I had thought about entering before, but I always missed the deadline,” says Parrish, a Nashville native who works as a paralegal at Holland, Beam, Miller and Rogers. She says the idea for her entry just popped into her head when she heard the news about Metro Councilman Adam Dread’s car accident. “Southerners are nice and polite to a fault,” she observes. “I could just imagine some Brentwood soccer mom waving at Dread as he crossed the lanes.” Aside from reading the Scene, Parrish says she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2-year-old son. She also enjoys camping and scuba diving.
