A River: Benefit for the Harpeth River at Gallery One

Down to the River

Down to the River
With the holiday season now gathering full steam, we're all remembering that it really is better to give than to receive. With that in mind, Gallery One has decided to welcome winter with a benefit for a good cause. A River is a diverse group show featuring gallery favorites like Rebecca Ruegger, Henry Isaacs, Patrick Adams, Deborah Fritts and Lendon Noe as well as a number of artists who are new to the space. Inspired by Norman Maclean's A River Runs Through It and other literary sources that invoke the spirit of moving water, the benefit will lend support to the Harpeth River Watershed Association. A portion of the proceeds from the show will support the non-profit organization in its stewardship and protection of the waterway.
Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Dec. 3. Continues through Jan. 16, 2009
