Of all the zany conspiracy theories floating about in the ether of American debate, there is but one that ranks as high in the hearts and minds of crackpots everywhere as the JFK assassination: Weastronauts, Americans, humansnever in fact went to the moon. Nashville filmmaker Bart Winfield Sibrels 2001 documentary A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon contains 47 minutes of conjecturing that, though entertaining in its exhausting sincerity, has mostly been addressed since by true experts. You know, guys with physics degrees and lab coats. Sibrels outrage over this alleged multi-billion-dollar cover-up eventually earned him a punch in the face from Buzz Aldrin. Thats a true story. Pow! Straight to the moon. So is there some merit to Sibrels claims, or are they simply the ravings of an obsessed nut job? Sibrel will be on-hand for a Q&A, so feel free to ask him yourself.
