TYM WILLIAMS, runner, Country Music Marathon

Where are you from? I'm from Chicago, and this is my fourth marathon.

What do you do for a living? Well, I just left my job as a CPA to go back to school at Columbia to major in screenwriting and producing.

Hatch any ideas for a screenplay while in Nashville? I had a great idea last night for a possible screenplay at the Grand Ole Opry.

Will it star Little Jimmy Dickens? Possibly, if I can convince all the country stars to jump in.

What advice would you give someone who wants to run a marathon for the first time? Anyone can do it. It's all in your head, it's all mental. I hurt very much right now, but you have to keep going and going, and eventually you hit the finish line, and that's a great feeling. I just love those medals they give out at the end. That's my favorite part of the whole sport.

Do you think your cowboy hat gives you an aerodynamic advantage over the competition? Not really. It helps me flirt with the girls here. Actually, every time I go by a cheerleading squad, I tip my hat to 'em and they love that.

Advice for the everyman? Don't force your way through life. Just let it happen.
