But what would be the objective interpretation of Harwell saying one thing about a subject, and then, after the new shit has come to light (likely in the form of a letter from various lobbying groups/high dollar campaign donors), she denies she's ever said anything about it?

Well, aside from pointing out this brazen hypocrisy of our public officials, I guess the point is that they helped whip up all this anti-ObamaCare nonsense and now chuckleheads in their party all believe it. So that will make it harder to make the legislature go along with expanding Medicaid should Haslam grow a pair and decide to try to do it.

For Tennessee businesses, the choice NOT to expand Medicaid is extremely expensive for them, in the form of higher hospital costs and higher insurance costs - compared to competitors in expansion states.

In expansion states, there will be hundreds of millions of new federal dollars coming through the local healthcare systems, employing people along the way, and improving the overall health of the state's labor pool.
