You're no authority on how anything works.

....you cannot come up with any reason other than personal political preference of a "competing right" in that instance being any different than one relating to a "competing right" of people to keep a gun in their car.


In reality there is no "competing right" in either instance because there is no such thing as affirmative rights. All rights are negative liberties.

There are issues of competing rights going on, so in the case of the ADA, Congress determined, and the Courts have supported, that the rights of those with disabilities to gain access to buildings of public accomodation trump the rights of property owners.

But what the state legislature is saying here is that a property owner's rights are trumped by the "right" of the perpetually armed to keep weapons in their vehicles, just in case a gun fight should break out.

It is a ridiculous propostion, and it will lose in court.

No more or less than they do for every other conceivable aspect of existence on this earth.

Get all the rest of those existing infringments repealed first - such as the ADA, smoking bans, etc. and THEN they can apply here.
