Oh, and, while I'm at it: TN doesn't require "majority minority" districts. If we're discussing Congressional districts, the 5th in Nashville - which has never elected a Republican - is 70% white.

Given that the Republicans elected two women to Congress and a woman as Speaker of the House, it would seem that they are attentive to the interests of more than just white men.

To your point about the Democratic Party, as long as Democrats require the existence of 'majority minority' districts instead of having white Democrats vote for non-white Democrats, I don't see as much 'progress' as political deal-making.
