      <![CDATA[This may be my favorite Hitchcock, beautifully constructed and filled with macabre wit and chilling setpieces. (The brilliantly staged stalking and murder is the first of the director's sexually charged killings, and a warm-up for the hideous intimacy of FRENZY.)
