And I think the answer is at least a qualified yes. But the other point that seems worth making explicit here is that there is no stream of American roots music that does not either have a strong and explicit gospel component to it, or a marked gospel influence, making Americana a natural home that offers a rich set of spiritual and musical connections and references that artists interested in contemporary Christian expression can relate to and work with.
