Rather silly story "again", designed to make Tn politics, and Lamar and country music, specifically, as a part of this national tragedy. If either is a problem for this specific violence, it would certainly be a tiny fraction of one percent.

Every 20 year old man was once a 10 year old boy, and the desensitizing, glorification of violence, and discouragement of empathy that boys go thru in our culture is intense. It's intuitive to many parents that a media saturated with violent movies and video games is an obstacle to healthy emotional attachment and developing empathy.

That's true 44allin but the proliferation and easy availability of guns (including high capacity weapons that no civilian should be owning) and the lack of training that many that own them have, is what causes tragedies. That's what separates us right now from the rest of the developed world.

I agree that increasing images of violence and violent video games are part of the problem. The thing is, nobody ever died from playing a video game.

Well, except for this three-year-old who mistook a loaded handgun for the Wii controller:
Regardless of whether or not violent video games cause actual violence, to say that if Alexander is okay with "Folsom Prison Blues" he ought to be okay with "Grand Theft Auto" is absurd. The song was actually anti-violence (if for no other reason than to keep your ass out of prison).
