@Mattintn: Red state - blue state, it doesn't matter, liberals have been in control of public education everywhere for a couple of generations now and the education has been so bad that many - make that most - of the high school graduates have to take remedial classes in college.

Mark, you keep making this "majority minority" claim over and over again. First of all, Republicans have no minority groups they can count on with the possible exception of the Cuban vote (which is weakening for them).

If that were true, then pray tell, why do Democrats persist in supporting the existence of 'majority minority' districts? If the Democrats are so free of racial prejudice {white Democrats at least since the Vann Joneses and Al Sharptons of the world are another issue}, why don't they elect more black and Hispanic Democrats in majority white districts?
