That's not necessarily true. When custodians are employees of the schools system, they are generally assigned to a particular school.

Even if I were to take your word for that, one ancectdotal incident doesn't prove your generic claim.

And you think direct government employees have proven that they are better than private contractors at handing exceedingly complicated and every changing things?

Hardly.

I doubt your job is anywhere near as complicated at designing, building and launching the rocket that took over the space shuttle's job of delivering payloads to the international space station for NASA. The private contractor Space X has done just that.

Private contractors build and construction just about everything the goverment buys.

Teachers can be easily outsourced.

It's called give parents a voucher to send their kids to any school that they want - including private schools.

There's no proof that public school teachers are any better at teaching than private school teachers are.

A private contractor was brought into my agency to "assist" us with our jobs. We all knew they would fail to meet their deliverables--our job is exceedingly complicated, ever changing, and we serve a massive number of Americans, but nobody could have imagined the scope of the contractor's failure.

That is nonsense.

There is an example of exactly the opposite in Metro schools . The school groundskeepers and custodial functions were outsourced.

Except for providing government services, which business is not equipped to do.

Look at private contractors who have been hired to take over government jobs. They tend to be abject failures at it, because business is in the business of making a profit, whereby government exists to provide services to people--it has no profit motive.

I am quite sure government could harm the economy just like the laissez-faire policies you worship have ruined the economy many times. The Great Depression and the Bush Recession are two good examples.

Since it is physically impossible for government to ever do anything that would produce an outcome superior to a pure hands off free market, the parameters of what constitutes the "middle class" is irrelevant. All government needs to do is start reducing it's inteference in (and drag on) the economy across the board (via regulation, taxing and spending) and that make for better conditions for all the classes.
