      <![CDATA[Why is visual art (including, that is, offshoots like performance art and even "sound art" that isn't music) the one creative field in which articles like this bring the word "carpetbagger" to my mind? <br>
<br>
I guess partly because it's a field in which aesthetic criteria are at their most elusive--at least to me, and I suspect to a lot of people, including many within the industry--especially in relation to monetary valuation of the work.

      <![CDATA[The Scene wouldn't let me post this because of course, it sounds too brown nosing/self complimentary to the Scene, here's to Guerilla blog posts. I wrote this because in addition to being my friend, Laura professionally impresses me a tremendous amount and I think we should all give her a shout out for how she is changing the Nashville vibe.<br>
