      <![CDATA[I have heard conflicting reports of the exact date of closure, but expect the staff to start making a mass exodus while these new restaurants are still hiring. I have always had excellent service at Rumba (and food), so I hope everyone finds a place to go.

      <![CDATA[Not frozen dinner, but since this is Open Thread ... just heard the sad news that Rumba is closing at the end of September. My wife and I had one of the most enjoyable evenings out we've had in years there last Friday night — outstanding service, delightful staff, every dish a winner.

      <![CDATA[People keep telling me about Lazzaroli's, but I'm rarely in that part of town.<br>
<br>
I do have some cool pasta and sauce in the freezer, though -- from Alfresco Pasta, who show up at my weekly 12 south farmers' market. I have a half-pound of their shrimp & langostino ravioli and a half-pint of their mushroom & roasted garlic sauce.

And when I'm in a pinch, I'll lay frozen chicken taquitos (corn tortillas) in a casserole dish, cover with green enchilada sauce, bake covered until bubbly, add cheese and finish off uncovered.
