After decades of reading it, I unsubbed The Tennessean this year. The crapulent rag is wholly in the pocket of the Mayor and the corporate class, and is useless for real news.
Would the last person to actually subscribe to the Tennessean please cop to it. If you'd cancel your subscription too, maybe we could get a real (non-Gannett garbage) paper here in Nashville.

What's the difference between The Tennessean's farming out its health care section to "hospital flacks" and the newspaper's front-page, above-the-fold, placement of an Alan Jackson puff piece as its headline story of the day, while co-sponsoring (and also promoting within its other pages) a Jackson Meet and Greet contest?

All this without so much as a hint of intersecting advertising and editorial at 1100 Broadway, of course!
