      <![CDATA[Ice crushing technique suggestion: a gallon measure of ice (commercial cubes best) wrapped up like a burrito in a clean old bath towel, laid on a concrete floor, smashed for a minute or two with the side of a carpenters hammer. You want it to be almost like snow.<br>
And I'd chill the bourbon ahead of time so it doesn't immediately melt the ice.<br>
And a good julep is going to need more like 4 ounces of liquor, at least on my back porch.
