With the way things are going in this state, if I were to have children, I don't know that I would want them to live in such an ignorant state as this. First, they won't be able to learn about science without religious doctrine being a part of the curriculum, then they won't learn anything about sex, outside of what I would teach them, because this state is apparently going with the idea "if you tell them not to do it, they won't do it!"

To attribute a quote to me that I never made is the same as lying, which you did thus confirming that you are a lame character of little substance.

I'm not so much worried about what other people think of my beloved Tennessee--although it does bother me when we're held up as ignorant rubes who don't believe in dinosaurs--as I am about what Tennessee will be for my niece and nephew, who are only 14 and 10. I don't want it to be the backwards-looking Tennessee envisioned by this hateful, bigoted, intellectually stunted legislature.

Gast, as someone who allows talk radio crazies to put every single thought into your head and cannot speak until Limbaugh or someone like him tells you what to think, you are the last to acuse anyone of not thinking for himself.

Our founding fathers, whom right-wingers pretend to respect but routinely misrepresent or ignore, in the very first sentence of the Declaration of Independence, expressed their desire for "a decent Respect for the Opinions of Mankind."

Only a nimrod like gast would assert that "we don't give a damn if anyone else in the world thinks we're stupid, no matter how stupid we really are" is a desirable or defensable position.
