No, I wasn't trying to claim they never use the word "sammies." I just think this Rachel Ray thing is a red herring.

Mmm, herring.

You're totally right, Dana. But to be clear, this is their Facebook page's name: https://www.facebook.com/Slocosammies, so maybe that's where the sammie/RR-averse get their hackles up.

And the sandwiches they make are quite excellent in my opinion, no matter what the staff prefers to call them.

I would not let an aversion to the word "sammies" keep one away from Sloco's high-quality sandwiches. The restaurant is called Sloco.

LiitO, I am no fan of RR, either (going so far as refusing to abbreviate olive oil even on my personal grocery list), but give Sloco a try. I've (of course) only had the vegetarian sandwiches, but they have been wonderful.

Sorry Chris, I have no interest in Sloco's, as the obnoxious Rachel Ray calls them sammies and lots of food folks do also. Chef Jeremy's Tayst has no taste, just trendy with the local and "green" lore.
