By having to check the photo ID with the actual person purporting to vote, MIGHT incline the person at the voting poll to read the document that would have DISCLOSED this person's felony.

IT IS ANOTHER STEP to protect our voting process.

Oh please. Of course it's written to help Republicans, that's the only reason they are doing it, because there is simply no evidence of even minimal vote fraud.

Perhaps a real solution would be to make sure the election officials have a thorough process in place to address this scenario including cross referencing voter rolls with felon convictions.
