      <![CDATA[I'm grossed out thinking about it now, but my freshman year I basically survived on chicken tenders & fries from the campus canteen and "unicorn horns", giant cheesy bread sticks served with a side of pizza sauce. Unicorn Pizza was on the bottom floor of my dorm, making it very easy for us girls in Gilbert Hall to gain the Freshman 15+.<br>
<br>
Other than that, I remember whipping up a lot of one dish rice meals in the microwave.

      <![CDATA[I can't believe that I'm the only one who made grilled cheese sandwiches with an iron on top of a metal sergeant's desk. It seemed so logical to me at the time.<br>
<br>
And Kraft canned Ravioli in Tomato Sauce works great in one of those orange Hotpoint hot pots.

      <![CDATA[Pretty sure I survived in college on what I called "Greek bagels"...cheap-ass grocery store bagels, feta cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and greek salad dressing as a bagel sandwich. They were actually kind of good, and now I want one.

      <![CDATA[On Sunday nights there were no school cafeterias near my dorm that served dinner(meal ticket plan). I remember cooking spaghetti and meat sauce and getting a bottle of red wine.

      <![CDATA[During my second week of law school at Ole Miss, I discovered that the meat at the Oxford Kroger always had an expiration date of Sunday, and they would mark all of the beef down by 50% at 6:00 on Saturday night. Almost every Saturday night for the next 3 years I would either eat filet mignon or ribeye for about $4.
