Speaking of lost regional items sometimes found in lonely little grocery stores, I used to be able to find Charles Chips at the tiny market on Belcourt just a few blocks before 440 and the old Sunshine Grocery. Has anyone had a Charles Chips sighitng recently ?

not to totally hijack the thread, but something else great with whiskey or bourbon is Dr Pepper, which I still think of as a regional soda, being the National Beverage of Texas and all...I've been known to bring my own when meeting to watch football at a bar (always good to give the bartender a heads up first, of course), to go with the elixir of choice.
