Good riddance to WRVU. Good riddance to wealthy, elitist college students getting easy college credits, free passes, free beer, food, drugs, etc. for spinning music on the air for ambitious local musicians.

<![CDATA[I think it's lame that a major university doesn't have a terrestrial radio station. I mean, my high school back home has a radio station, roughly the same wattage as the former WRVU.

<![CDATA[In a town, where the broadcast signal of radio played a major role in its economic and cultural development, it is sad to see a minority of those in the Vanderbilt community, the VSC, make a decision which effectively kills that unusual method of communication that WRVU had with the surrounding Nashville community. As a loyal WRVU listener since I arrived at Vanderbilt in 1977, I have not been able to erase the preset on my radio, for it would diminish the hope that WRVU will return in all its quirkiness and brilliance.
