      <![CDATA[Agreed on all counts. I'd trade pretty much the entirety of the Broadway "Producers" for that one reaction shot in the movie of the opening-night audience watching "Springtime for Hitler."

      <![CDATA[Don't forget that the play misses Teri Garr, Cloris Leachman, Kenneth Mars, Madeline Kahn and, most important, Marty Feldman.<br>
<br>
And while the musical 'The Producers' was a big hit on Broadway, it lacked the warmth, energy and madness of the original. Not to mention that Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder own their roles.
