<![CDATA[This puts Karl Dean's bloc of usual supporters on Metro Council in a particularly difficult position, meaning it passes responsibility for approval or disapproval back to them. Will they go with the powerful Chamber of Commerce, or will they call the Mayor's hand, vote with Hollin and Jameson, and see if he would actually sign a bill that he very nearly compared to "government regulating private business" in a December City Paper interview?

<![CDATA[Does the Nashville Chamber of Commerce receive any allocation of local tax revenues from any local/county/metro goverment? If this should be the case, local citizens who support LGBT nondiscrimination laws that apply to both government and private business should ask their elected local government officials not to provide any taxpayer funding of their local CofC organizations.
