Instead of trying to shoe-horn someone from another precinct in another STATE, why can't they have incentives for current officers who learn another language in use in Nashville?

I don't think that the 'decrease' you allude to (Harvey) will necessarily be as a result of this policy. It will probably encourage more hit-and-run accidents, however, as the Hispanic community will probably view any stops by law-enforcement as a precursor to possible deportation.

There shouldn't be a huge influx of undocumented people suddenly flooding the jail. This will only affect those who are physicallyarrested, not those cited and released.
